History of the Marine Corps Ball
The Marine Corps Ball is one of the most meaningful traditions in the United States Marine Corps. Every year on November 10th, Marines around the world gather to celebrate the founding of the Corps in 1775, honor those who served before us, and reflect on the values of honor, courage, and commitment. The ceremony typically includes the reading of the Marine Corps Birthday Message, the traditional cake-cutting ceremony, and recognition of the oldest and youngest Marines present. For many Marines, this event is a reminder that no matter when or where they served, they remain part of a lifelong brotherhood and sisterhood.
Why Guidon Austin
Guidon Austin is hosting the Austin Marine Corps Ball because the meaning behind the event aligns directly with our mission. In the military, the guidon serves as the rally point where service members regroup, receive direction, and move forward together. Guidon Austin was founded on that same principle.
